Recipe: Garlic Oil 2 Ways

Garlic oil can be used in a lot of different dishes. In this article, we’re making it two different ways. Both methods are easy and fast. We’ll also elaborate on which method is more suited to certain purposes, applications, dishes, and situations.

Two types of Garlic Oil

⏲2-4 minutes
🍽A bottle of garlic oil

The first method (Blender)

Ingredients
– 3 cloves of garlic
– Add enough olive oil to cover the garlic cloves, you can always add more later if the flavor is too heavy.

How to make it?
Peel and cut the garlic cloves. Add the garlic and oil to a kitchen machine and crush/blend it well until it becomes one mix. Then add the mix to a bottle or a jar of your choice to be used whenever you like. You can use this blended version well for baking purposes. This could be for baking your vegetables, croutons, or even sauces. It works best when you don’t pour it over raw as it can be rather intense and overruling, whereas, for baking purposes, it brings out the beautiful accents of garlic and olive oil for your dishes.

The second method (Infusion)

Ingredients
– 3 cloves of garlic
– Add enough olive oil to cover the cloves. You can always add more later if the flavor is too heavy.
– You can add some herbs like thyme and basil

Galic Oil Infusion

How to make it?
Peel and cut the garlic cloves and wash the herbs. Add this to a jar and add the olive oil on top. In this method, it is more important to use oil of good quality as you will be able to taste the difference. This garlic oil is essentially good-quality olive oil infused with garlic and herbs. Thus it makes for a great finish for many appliances, for example, Bruschetta, Salads, Pasta, Pizza, etcetera. You will not want to use this for baking. Not because it doesn’t taste good. But because it would be rather wasteful.
