Recipe: Pear Cheesecake (with cottage cheese)

This cheesecake consists of cottage cheese, which is healthier than the regular version of cheesecake. In the Netherlands, we even have a different name for this type of pie, namely a kwarktaart (literally translated as cottage cheese pie). Recipe: Brie Peach Salad

This salad recipe is a dish that we eat for lunch sometimes. It’s a nice summer salad with a well-balanced palate of flavors. The sharpness of the shallot, the sweet freshness of the peach, and the ripe taste of the brie make this dish deliciously simple.

Recipe: Vegetarian Burrito

Burritos, most people love them, eat them and make them. However, most people don’t know what defines a burrito. Burrito comes from the word burro, which is Spanish for donkey. An exact origin story with this name is missing as there are too many and that’s not really what this post is about anyways. The definition of a burrito is a folded wrap filled with beans and more. That’s all there is to it so the variations you can make on this are endless. The point is though. They have a tendency of being damn tasty! This time we made a vegetarian burrito with beans, vegetables, and cheese. This recipe is healthy, filling, and very tasty.

Recipe: Cinnamon Muffins

Muffins are a great snack on the road. They’re already bite size, easy to eat while you’re traveling somewhere and so easy to make. These cinnamon muffins can be made within 15 minutes (baking time excluded). With the baking time included, you can serve them within an hour.

Recipe: Middle Eastern Fatteh

Fatteh is a dish that we can eat any time of the day; breakfast, lunch, dinner. We see Fatteh as a kind of Lebanese version of nachos. It’s different in taste and a lot healthier as there’s flatbread instead of chips and cheese. It is plenty tasty though, a more refreshing dish when comparing it to nachos. I’d say this would be the summer version of nachos in terms of taste… Yes, we eat nachos during summertime as well.
