Cinnamon Buns

Ingredients
For the dough:

500 grams of flour
10 grams of dried gist
2 grams of salt
40 grams of sugar
270 milliliters of milk
1 egg
60 grams of butter

For the filling:
90 grams of butter
150 grams of brown caster sugar
1,5 teaspoon of cinnamon

How to make it?

Weigh all the ingredients for the dough and mix them for at least 5 minutes. Let the dough rise for about 1 hour in a warm place, and cover the bowl with some foil. In the meantime, put all the ingredients for the filling in a pan and mix it while heating the mix. After the filling is cooled down and the dough rested for 1 hour, you can roll out the dough in a piece of 30 to 50 centimeters. Add 3/4 of the filling to the dough and roll up the dough from the long side. Next, you can choose one of the two methods (or do half of the buns one way and the other half the other). The look of the bun will be a little different, and the buns are a little dryer on the baking tray compared to the mould.

The first method: in a greased baking mould

Cut the roll into 12 pieces and put the pieces in a greased baking mold. Add the rest of the filling to the top of the buns so it won’t be baked dry. Let the buns rest for about 1 hour before baking them, and preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius. Bake the buns for 25 minutes. Let the cinnamon buns cool down, and enjoy!

The second method: on a baking tray

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius. Cut the roll into 12 pieces and put them on a baking tray with baking paper. Add the rest of the filling to the top of the buns so it won’t be baked dry. Bake the buns for 20 minutes. Let the cinnamon buns cool down, and enjoy!
